Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Nestio - Bundle Add-Ons, the Shopify app for selling product bundles with automatic discounts. If your question is not answered here, email us and we will help.
What is Nestio?
Nestio lets you sell product bundles on your product pages. You pair one product with up to three deals a buyer can add alongside it, and the discount is applied automatically at checkout.
Who is Nestio for?
Merchants who want to sell add-ons, accessories, or curated sets from the product page rather than hoping buyers find those items on their own.
What is the difference between a campaign and a deal?
A campaign attaches to one parent product and holds up to three deals. A deal is one bundle option the buyer can choose, containing up to five items from other products, each with its own quantity and discount.
What discount types are supported?
Percentage and fixed amount. You can set a separate discount for the parent product and every item in a deal, or apply one percentage to everything in the deal at once.
Can I run two campaigns on the same product?
No. Only one campaign can be active on a product at a time. Pause the existing campaign first, then activate the new one.
What do I need to add to my theme?
Two things, both from your theme editor. The Deal Picker block goes on your product template and is what buyers see. The Cart Integrity app embed handles carts where a bundle item was removed; without it a buyer can end up unable to check out with no explanation.
Does Nestio work with my theme?
Nestio needs an Online Store 2.0 theme. Vintage themes do not support app blocks and are not supported.
Why is the bundle not showing on my product page?
Usually one of three things: the Deal Picker block has not been added to the product template, the campaign is not active yet, or the campaign is outside its scheduled window. A scheduled campaign staying hidden until its start time is expected behaviour, not a fault.
Can I schedule a campaign in advance?
Yes. Start and end times use your store's timezone. Outside that window the bundle hides itself on the storefront and no discount is applied.
Can buyers change a bundle's quantity in the cart?
No. Changing the quantity breaks the ratio between the main product and its bundled items, which blocks checkout. To change a bundle, remove it and add it again from the product page.
Why does my bundle not group items together in the cart?
Shopify's nested cart lines do not work on stores with the Script Editor app installed, and they are also unsupported alongside draft orders, POS, and order editing. If bundled items appear as separate lines instead of grouped under the main product, Script Editor is the first thing to check.
Can I change how the bundle widget looks?
Yes, on the Design page. You can set colours, the button label and icon, and the border. These settings apply to your whole store, so two campaigns cannot be styled differently.
Are there any limits?
A campaign can hold up to three deals, each deal up to five items, and each item a quantity from 1 to 99.
How much does Nestio cost?
Nestio is free. There is no trial, no paid tier, and no usage charge.
What data does Nestio access?
Nestio reads your products and variants to build bundles, writes the bundle configuration onto the parent product, creates and removes the automatic discount, registers the checkout validation, and reads incoming orders for your analytics. It does not collect any personal information about your customers.
Why is my analytics empty, and can I see past sales?
Analytics are built from orders that arrive after you install Nestio, so sales made before then never appear and cannot be backfilled. Shopify only exposes the last 60 days of order history to apps. A new bundle order shows up within a few minutes of checkout.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
Your campaigns and settings are kept for 48 hours, so reinstalling within that window restores everything. After that Shopify asks us to erase the store's data and we delete it permanently. The automatic discount Shopify created stays on your store, because our access is revoked at uninstall and we can no longer remove it.
